Saif bin Zayed: UAE is proud of its distinguished police personnel's
HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior has confirmed the UAE Higher Leadership interest in holders of postgraduate degrees (Masters and PhD Degrees) of police personnel's in all security services.
HH added that the country is proud of distinguished national's contributions to policing and security work, in accordance with scientific approach keeps pace with developments and changes to achieve growth and prosperity to individuals and community.
HH has received in his office 1st Lt. Maryam Ismaeel Al Raisi, from ADP Forensic Evidence Department. She has obtained a master Degree (very Good rating) from the British Southampton University. The title of her thesis is "Restrictions that Women Face in Work-from Abu Dhabi Emirate Perspective". HH has also received Lt. Wafa Ali Al Tayari, from DNA Section at ADP Criminal Investigation Department. She has obtained a masters Degree (Excellent rating), in Environment Sciences, Helical bacteria Biology, from Emirates University. Sergeant Daris Khalid Ahmed Jumaa Al Zafeen, from ADP Traffic and patrols Department, has also been received by HH. He has obtained two Bachelor Degrees in Civil Engineering (Traffic) and in Information Technology from Australian Griffith University. He is considered the first Emirati ever who gets two bachelor Degrees.
HH has appreciated the academic achievements of national cadres. HH has discussed with them their studies and has praised the record time they have spent in their studies. HE has urged them to continue their scientific achievements.
The degrees holders have expressed their happiness to meet HH pledging to double their efforts in their work and further studies.
1st Lt. Maryam Ismaeel study focuses on the effect of Emirati culture and customs on women at work environment, the role of women to face this problem, promoting her performance in ADP and government efforts to encourage women to join work force. She urges Emirati women to prove themselves in work.
Lt. Wafa thesis focuses on the appearance of new helical bacteria which causes gastric ulcer. The result of the study assists in reaching best cure to the disease. Her study is considered the first of its type in GCC. It has been registered at the American Genetics Bank. She has promised to continue her studies to prepare the genetic map of the bacteria.
Sergeant Daris briefed HH on his studies and that he faced some problems at the beginning to coordinate between his two studies, especially during examinations times. His thesis is about a comparison between roundabouts and intersections in terms of traffic flow. The study recommends the use of roundabouts as they are better in traffic flow in new cities.
