Saif bin Zayed: The project is a message of peace and love

 

HM King Abdullah the 2nd of the brotherly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior have launched today (Thursday) phase one of Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (May his soul rest in peace) project in the Jordanian City of Al Aaqaba. The project is being executed by the Jordanian Company (Al Maabar Investments – Jordan)

King Abdullah the 2nd and HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed have placed foundation stone for the project. The project is intended to construct on a land of more than three million square meters in area residential complexes, integrated neighborhoods, apartments and towers.

HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed has appreciated the distinguished relationship between the two brotherly countries which its firm foundations were laid by two great leaders who were led by their natural benevolence and their loyalty to their peoples and Arab Nation over the history, HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and King Hussain bin Talal (May God bestow His divine mercy on their souls), who passed the torch to their faithful and honest successors HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan President of the UAE and HM King Abdullah the 2nd king of the Hashemite Kingdom of  Jordan (God bless them).

HH has added “The project substantiate the distinguished relationship between the two brotherly countries. HH hopes the project will be for the well-being of Jordan people. Our leaderships are keen to enhance relations and ties between the peoples of the UAE and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. HH considers the project as a message of peace and love to the whole world.

The project, which will provide 15 thousand job opportunities, includes shopping centers, recreational facilities, hotels, tourist resorts and business complexes. The project will have a two km long sea view at the circular marina area which is surrounded by residential towers and tourist facilities. It also includes a port and moorage for yachts and tourist boats.

The project which was announced last February by Al Maabar Investments – Jordan, which is owned by Al Maabar International Investments – Abu Dhabi, will be carried out in phases. The first phase is to develop the coastal strip and change it into an environment suitable for multi-purpose use with high rising residential towers, recreational facilities, business utilities and a number of world-class hotels sprinkled across the area.

The ceremony was attended by Prince Fayssal bin Al Hussain, Ministers and Senior Officials from both countries, businessmen from Jordan and the UAE. The celebrations included a short documentary depicting the project phases until the final phase. The Royal Falcons Aircraft squadron staged an air show.

The project also includes construction of a modern port for tourist ships provided with the latest technologies to represent a welcoming gate for Al Aaqaba visitors and to instill its name in outstanding tourist landmarks map of the Kingdom.

The project will be carried out in phases. 2000 hectare out of the total of 3200 hectare of the project land has been received so far. The rest of the project land 1200 hectares will b e received in 2013.
