Saif bin Zayed: The Country Leadership appreciates the efforts of national cadre's excellence
HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior received in his office the working team of MoI official web site, on Sunday. The team comprised Lt. Colonel Mahmood Al Awadhi, Head of Electronic Publishing and media and Web Site director, and Lt. Suhail Al Zahmi, Director of Electronic Media Branch. They won the award of best web site at ministries level in the Arab World, where they received the E-government Shield Prize "Structural Innovation", held recently in Beirut.
Brigadier Mohammad Saleh Badah, Acting Director of Media and Public Relations Department at MoI and a number of officers.
HH affirmed the country higher leadership appreciation and unlimited support for the efforts of national cadres in innovation and excellence march. They were considered an exemplary for others in this area and other areas of excellence.
The working team of the MoI web site pledged to continue implementation of HH directives regarding promotion of services delivered to the public in accordance with best advanced global standards.
Lt. Colonel Al Awadhi said "HH has appreciated the working team efforts in adopting an advanced approach and continuous improvements in the web site, in order to deliver best electronic services to the public and quickly responding to all suggestions and complaints received by MoI Web Site".
The Web Site was nominated by Information authority in the Emirates for the award launched by the Arab Organization for Administrative Development of the League of Arab States, in collaboration with Pan Arab Web Awards Academy under the slogan "The Prize of Best Government Web Site in the Arab Region".
The competition is intended to reward the efforts of Arab Governments in structure of web site on the internet for best services to its public, to facilitate their getting necessary information. The sites should be clear and provide transparency in communication between the public and government officials.
The competition is also a tool to enhance, construct and develop government web sites on the internet. It appreciates the efforts of government which build web sites on the internet. It also encourages other countries which do not have web sites to start building web sites to allow communication of information to citizens and residents of the country.
It also recognizes the efforts of countries which have already built web sites on the internet, whether for delivering services or providing information and transparency.
