Ramadan Tent Forum Activities kick off on Sunday
Ramadan Tent Forum Activities, organized by the capital Police Directorate of ADP Directorate General of Policing Operations, in collaboration with Al Hilal Bank as an (Exclusive Sponsor) and a number of Public and Private Sector Departments and institutions, under the slogan “Effective Partnership for Constructive Community’, will kick off after tomorrow, Sunday, and will continue until 31 August 2010.
Colonel Maktoum Ali Al Shareefi, Director of the Capital Police Directorate said “The Forum aims to enhance and support ADP cooperation and partnership with Civil Society Institutions and Sectors in a way that enables them to improve the quality of their services to the community. Furthermore, to enable them to maintain security and stability gains and their impact on the country’s comprehensive national renaissance”.
“The Forum also solidifies ADP vision and strategy which is characterized by transparency in service delivery, dealing with the community and expanding the circle of its different initiatives against unification of efforts and achievement of joint aims with these Sectors which seek to raise the efficiency of services in a better way”, added Colonel Al Shareefi.
Ahmed Ateeq Al Mazroui, Chairman of Al Hilal Bank Board of Directors has lauded partnership with ADP GHQ, where he said “it is our pleasure to be honored with sponsoring the activities of Ramadan Tent Forum’.
He has expressed his appreciation and gratitude to ADP personnel for their effective efforts in community protection and care. He has affirmed Al Hilal bank keenness to activate its social role and to enhance solidarity spirit in the community.
He has also indicated that this event is important as it includes social, cultural and religious activities, in addition to assisting poor people and those in needs.
The activities will include religious and educational lectures, theatre and recreational shows, auction of heritage stuff, quizzes and other miscellaneous items.
There are many surprises and prizes awaiting the public from Al Hilal bank and other participating institutions.
The Organizing Committee will dedicate the 19th of Ramadan in commemoration of the late HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (May his sole rest in peace). The ceremony will include a 3D documentary about Sheikh Zayed career, care and elegiac poetry followed by a documentary shown by Abu Dhabi Municipality.
Al Hilal Bank, Abu Dhabi Municipality, General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Emirates Heritage Club and Red Crescent Authority will participate in the Forum.
The tent will be erected on the parking areas of Abu Dhabi Corniche opposite the Federal National Council.
