Police College obtains Master Academic Accreditation

 

Police College has managed to obtain the academic accreditation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, on “criminal justice” and “police management” programs to obtain Masters Degree.

“This huge breakthrough which has taken effect in the beginning of current October, confirms the College’s steady endeavors to develop the educational process through the introduction of modern syllabi and advanced technologies that meet the requirements of police work”, said Colonel Saif Ali Al Kitbi Director General of Police College. He affirmed the College’s keenness to implement the MoI strategy and the directives of the police leadership in whatever achieves excellence and quality, and helps setting ambitious goals so that police and security forces in the UAE become the most operationally effective in one of the safest countries in the world.

Al Kitbi stressed the significance of caring for human resources and developing all the necessary needs to achieve this goal, indicating the efforts exerted by the College to reach this end.

Having this Masters program, the Higher Studies Department, he stated will contribute to raising the efficiency of police staff and provide them with new branches of knowledge so as to be able to bear their responsibilities. The program also helps set up a deep intellectual background for administrative, police, criminal and technological knowledge. In addition, it establishes methods and trends of scientific research, and reinforces bonds with universities and scientific, security and criminal institutions at Gulf, Arab and international levels.

For his part, Col. Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Bu Hindi head of Higher Studies Department affirmed that the Program has been designed to meet the requirements and goals of MoI’s strategy. He explained that the accreditation includes two programs, “criminal justice” and” police management”, and they are studies in two semesters followed by Master’s thesis.

He said: executive regulations have been set up, which include terms of admission, study duration, exams and fees, in addition to semesters credited hours. He explained that study will commence tomorrow Sunday with 46 students forming the first batch.
