Under the auspices of Lt. General H.H Sheikh Saif bin Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior attended the silver jubilee ceremony organized by the Police College. The celebration, held at Union Hall, marks the graduation of the first batch of students 25 years ago.

Attending the ceremony were Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Chairman of the Police College; Major General Staff Obeid Al Hiri Salim Al Kutbi, deputy commander-in-chief of Abu Dhabi Police; and Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations, and Director General of Electronics and Telecommunications at the ministry. Also present were H.E. Colonel Saif Ali Al Kutobi, Police College Director; leaders, directors general and a large number of officers from the Ministry of Interior.

In his address at the ceremony, which marks the graduation of the first batch of students 25 years ago, Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior emphasized that the Police College is one of the most important educational police institutions in the state. “It has become a prominent academic edifice, thanks to the continued support of the Higher Leadership,” he said; valuing the kind attention dedicated by H.H Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior.

Al Sha’far noted that the Police College has attained a significant level of excellence, clearly witnessed by everyone. The College will pursue further efforts and development plans to maintain its distinguished status; and possesses the proper readiness, human, technical and operational skills to pursue its important role with confidence and competence.

He added: “The Police College has managed, since its inception, to graduate distinguished individuals, who have proven their functional excellence in their respective tasks and positions. This stems from the distinguished qualification and training they acquired at the highest level of academic attainment”. Moreover, Al Sha’far pointed out that the achievements made by the Police College over the course of its history, have contributed to establish a modern police force, with proper strategic, scientific and methodological planning, which keeps abreast of developments and rapid changes taking place in the contemporary world.

Furthermore, Al Sha’far stressed that the human cadre is the main pillar for any nation’s progress and prosperity. He indicated that the Police College endeavors to recruit security and police personnel with the highest degrees of scientific attainment, so that its graduates can contribute to develop performance in the policing and security work environment in the state. “The Police College has truly been an embodiment of our Supreme Leadership’s visions, and went on to become a beacon of knowledge and a platform to graduate men dedicated to the service of their country,” he said.

Al Sha’far congratulated all Abu Dhabi Police College on this auspicious occasion, wishing them further progress and excellence in the performance of their duties towards the community.
