Organizers lauds ADP efforts in maintaining security of venues
Sports personalities in the country have lauded ADP security efforts, campaigns and initiatives, to maintain playing-fields security and to ensure the safety of fans, affirming that the slogan of “Cheer warmly…Cheer in a Civilized Way” indicates fair play and impartiality.
They have affirmed that the security is essential for any sports activity and that ensuring the safety of the public and players are the top priority of the country’s Higher Leadership, which is led by the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
While lauding ADP efforts they have affirmed that the civilized cheering adopted by peoples of the world reflects their awareness and respect for others, in addition to law observance.
Ibrahim Abdul Malik, Secretary General of Youth and Sports Care said “ADP GHQ initiative (Cheer warmly…Cheer in a Civilized Way) is a civilized evidence of the positive relationship between police and sports fans for whom the matches are played. Without sports fans image will not be completed”.
“Hosting of FIFA Clubs World Cup by the country is an achievement and the country can gain a lot at all levels. This security environment encourages hosting more Championships and different sports activities, especially that the country possesses a well known infrastructure”, added Ibrahim.
He has warned against irresponsible behaviors by some fans towards the players of other team. Over-cheering encourages adverse reactions and unbecoming behaviors. This may increase negative behaviors from the fans of the other team and unexpected consequences in the light of the large number of people in one place.
He has hoped that the latest surveillance cameras, uniquely designed by ADP and deployed at different places at stadiums will increase the civilized behavioral commitment of the public, and spot any bad behaviors or reckless actions by fans, especially the young cheerers.
“Our players, technical and administrative bodies are keen to achieve security as it is the corner stone of the success of every sports event. They need to cooperate with police in maintaining the security and ensuring safety of players, fans and stadiums, for the sake of the UAE sports future”, added Ibrahim.
“Football sport is so lucky due to our Higher Leadership support. Our players and fans are well appreciated. Our sports clubs and fans set example for sports associations in the neighboring countries. It is important to raise the public awareness and culture of enjoying the game without hurting others feelings. They should be aware enough to safeguard public properties including playing-grounds, training places and other sports facilities”, added Ibrahim.
“ADP slogans (Cheer Warmly…Cheer in a Civilized Way) and (ADP…One Team…One Goal…Your Safety), is an evidence of human rights respect and trust in police force services and its role in ensuring the safety and security of the public, for best sports results in the future.
Abdullah Nasser Al Jeneibi, Chairman of Competitions Committee at the Professionals League Tournament, said “The UAE football sport witnesses a quantum leap forward at national and clubs teams level. Our Higher Leadership is behind this development, lauding ADP keenness to promote playing-fields security and to ensure the players and fans safety”.
