Omer bin Zayed inaugurates Abu Dhabi International Motor Show-2010
On behalf of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, His Highness Sheikh Omer bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and the His Highness the President Aide-de-camp inaugurated 13th Abu Dhabi International Motor Show, on Wednesday evening, at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC).
HH toured the show, featuring over 60 exhibitors within the largest and most comprehensive motor show in the Middle East. During the tour HH visited a number of stands to view some of the models being launched for the first time at the Show. HH listened to a detailed explanation of the specification of the new vehicles on show.
HH lauded the important role that ADP plays in providing ambulance services and he wished those in charge of development plan every success, during his visit to MoI stand to view the new models of motorcycle ambulances introduced by ADP. At MoI stand HH was received by Major General Mattar Salim Miseid Al Niyadi,, MoI Director General of Electronic Services, Brigadier Gheith Hassan al Zaabi, MoI Director of Traffic Coordination and a number of senior police officers.
HH listened to an explanation about the new ambulance motorcycles newly introduced by ADP, in order to be used in public markets, crowded places and closed place which could not be reached by ambulance vehicles.
HH also viewed ADP ambulance vehicle with its blue and red colors to attract the attention of road users and could be easily seen during nights.
HH viewed ADP exciting Motorbike the "Falcon", the first of its type in the Middle East. He also viewed ADP Traffic vehicles, Nissan "GTR" and Camaro, in addition to an old vehicle was in use by ADP in the past.
HH also lauded the participation of big car companies in the show and their role in showcasing the latest cars made manufactured by them. HH appreciated the distinguished organization of the show and its success in attracting large number of companies under one roof..
The large number of exhibiters and number of vehicles on show reflects the importance of Abu Dhabi International Motor Show at the world level. Inauguration ceremony was attended by Ali bin Harmal Al Dhahri, Managing Director of ADNEC, a number of senior officials and businessmen.
