Office for the public and Unit for secondary complaints at Khaldiyah Police Station
Al Khaldiyah Police Station of the Capital Police Directorate intends to set up an office to serve the public and direct them to the right branch and section which is concerned with their problems at the Station. Internet service will be provided for customers who want to use their own computers.
The Station has introduced a Unit for simple and secondary complaints which has contributed to the sorting out of problems amicably. It has reduced crowds and waiting times at the Station. The Unit provides quick and distinguished service to the public.
In order to gain public trust the Station has also introduced a room provided with toys and games for customers’ children. Also the Station presents token gifts to the customers to improve police image in the eyes of the customers.
Lt. Colonel Ibrahim Al Hinai, Director of Khaldiyah Police Station said “The aim of service expansion is to improve service quality to make customers feel comfortable and to save customers time and effort. This step will also enhance partnership with the community in order to achieve community satisfaction”.
“Introduction of Simple Complaints Unit contributes to finalizing transactions in a quick way and to reducing crowding at the Station. The complaints are received and recorded on special forms we call ‘Simple Complaints Forms’. The Form contains the complainant statement and then we summon the complained of individual to solve the problem in a friendly way. Then the latter is asked to sign a pledge not to repeat the problem”, added Al Hinai.
The Station pays great attention to children when they are brought to the Station with their parents. A room provided with toys and games for the children to spend their time away from the family problems.
The Station building is provided with guiding notice boards to direct customers to the right Section< Branch and Office which deal with their complaints. Internet service is also provided at the Station to assist customers in using their personal computers and achieve their personal businesses.
Customers’ names are recorded in a book to contact them later to inquire about their satisfaction with our services and to measure the level of their satisfaction. This will assist the Station in promoting its services and enhancing community trust in police organization.
Customers’ suggestions are studied to implement the suitable ones for better services. There is committee which is responsible for sorting out these suggestions and forwarding them to Units concerned for reply.
There are many services to boost community trust in the police; these include victims of offences against the person where the Station follows up their cases and provide them with services they need. This will make a good impression on them.
The Station is in the process of introducing an office to register customers’ names and direct them to office that meets their needs. The Office will be provided with four female employees for this purpose. This encourages the public to visit the Station and to solve many problems.
Delivery of new services increase interaction between the police and the community, and individuals will cooperate with the police to face all types of crime.
