Number plate auction (99) Enters Record
 Numbers Encyclopedia and fetches Dh 6m

 

The total revenue of the 15th distinguished numbers auction, organized by Abu Dhabi Police in cooperation with Emirates Auction Company, have reached around DH 36m. 80 distinguished numbers of the fifth category have been offered for auction. The auction has been held under the motto (Distinguished Number for Distinguished Aim).

Number (99) fetched DH6m and fifty thousand. This amount qualified the number to enter the Record Numbers Encyclopedia, among 20 distinguished numbers all over the world. Colonel Salim Ali Al Shamsi, Director of Privatization and Resources Development at ADP has stated that the auction witnesses an increase in bidders by 20%, in comparison with the previous ones.

Al Shamsi revealed that the preparations for the 16th electronic auction are well under way. He also has expressed the keenness of HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior to achieve social integration among all segments of the community.

Mr. Abdullah Mattar Al Manai, Executive Manager of Emirates Auction Company has stated that ADP distinguished number plate auctions attract great interest inside and outside UAE. The number of visitors to the auction website has reached 36 thousand from 52 countries.

Number of participants has expressed their satisfaction with the accurate organization of the auction. According to them the auction has witnessed severe competition between bidders.
