Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, launched yesterday during his visit to MoI stand at GITEX 2011, the new website of Abu Dhabi Police GHQ.
He viewed the contents of the port and the new services delivered to the customers and listened to an explanation about the website by First Lt. Mohammed Khamis Salim Al Junaibi.
The newly-launched website focuses on the requirements of the public, and provides them with information and services of Abu Dhabi Police in an accurate, professional and easy manner so that they are able to access and use the services easily.
Colonel Anwar Al Mulla, director of IT and Communications Department extended thanks to HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashed for launching the new website.
He said that developing the new website of Abu Dhabi Police was carried out to keep up with steps of excellence taken by the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ in all domains, mainly shifting to e-government, indicating that the new website has been developed in accordance with the latest web design international standards and as per the e-government, the best international, federal and local standards.
The easy-to -browse new website is characterized by its clear contents and services that match the nature of the customers, added Al Mulla, thus making it much easier and quicker for customers to access the information directly from the home page.
The website also highlights the locations and communication channels with the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ through a number of available services.
Al Mualla stated that Abu Dhabi Police has increased the contents of the new website to become many times bigger than the previous one. The contents of the services Abu Dhabi Police provides to the public took the lion share, with more than 100 new services being added.
The home page is designed so that it shows up the services offered by the Abu Dhabi Police, whether e-services or otherwise.
Search engines are among the most important applications available at the website, with every section has its own search engine, indicated Al Mulla.
Other electronic applications have been added such as photo gallery which has been supplied by a big number of photos, to highlight the diversification of activities within Abu Dhabi police.
