General Directorate for Naturalization, Passport and Residency in the Ministry of Interior, granted today “Monday” Emirati Citizenship to 53 individuals born to Emirati women married to foreign husbands who were included under the Royal Decree of HIS HIGHNESS Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, Ruler of Abu Dhabi.
The new citizens praised this honor, and promised to be responsible and work hard to support their country’s development along with their fellow citizens.
Nasser Bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Undersecretary for Naturalization, Residency and Ports affairs, congratulated members qualified to acquire citizenship. He encouraged them to be an example for good citizenship, and preserve the country’s reputation, represent its cultural and civilized basis, commit to the rules and constitution, and take into consideration the original Arab traditions and habits , as well as UAE tolerant and fair legislation.
Al Menhali said: “Our wise leadership continues to provide all ways for a safe and luxurious society, whereas development will continue and UAE will remain a symbol for civilization and prosperity regionally and globally.”
Extreme Happiness
New citizens expressed their happiness and appreciation to UAE Higher leadership and citizens.
Faisal Obeid (new citizen) said: “acquiring this citizenship brings happiness and joy to me and to my family. I highly appreciate and thank HIS HIGHNESS Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; HIS HIGHNESS Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; and HIS HIGHNESS General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE Armed Forces, for their belief in us. I will dedicate my life to serve the country and I will work hard to repay my country for this gift whether I was in the UAE or abroad.”
Citizen, Suhail Abu Baker Abdullah Al Menhali, and his brother Mohammed, deemed the decision of HIS HIGHNESS Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to grant them the UAE citizenship a source of happiness and joy to their family, and a way to support it. This honor also contributes in solving a lot of challenges and difficulties they faced in their lives. Suhail said: “We now enjoy all rights and duties, and this will make us work harder to repay our country for this generosity.”
Citizen Mohsen Abdullah Al Mutairi described the decision of HIS HIGHNESS as heartwarming because it brings stability and security to his family. He gave his thanks and appreciation for this merciful humanitarian decision.
Citizen Mohammed Abdullah Khalaf Al Bloushi considered the day he got the citizenship as the time when his life changed. The decision gave him a big and new push to be more loyal to the country in which he lived all his life. He gave his thanks to the Ministry of Interior for its big efforts that contributed to the quick execution of the decision, and helped in completing all required procedures.
On their side, number of female citizens, who acquired the citizenship, gave their appreciation and thanks to HIS HIGHNESS Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and his brothers Their Highness Members of the UAE Supreme Council Rules of the Emirates , for this honor which implicates UAE assurance to provide all kinds of support to them and to their children.
