Lieutenant General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior planted the Union Tree in the courtyard of the Ministry of Interior, under the initiative of His Highness Sheikh Muhammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, on the occasion of the State ceremonies of the 41st National Day.

Present at the event were Lt. General Khamis Bin Saif, General Director of Criminal Section in Abu Dhabi Police Department; Colonel Aziz Hammoud Al Amiri, Head of Strategy and Performance Development Department; Colonel Hussein Mahmoud Al Awadi, Acting Relations Manager; Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Said Al Mazrou’i, Head of International Cooperation Department in the Ministry of Interior; and Lieutenant Colonel Ali Said Al Kaabi of the Office of Undersecretary the Ministry of Interior, in addition to a number of officers from the ministry. 

The initiative comes from the higher leadership’s keen interest in rooting positive values among the staff of the Ministry of Interior.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior stressed that the initiative of His Highness Sheikh Muhammed bin Rashid carries the sublime wisdom of His Highness that the union is similar to tree that requires determination, attention, and tender care to maintain what has been sowed in the nation in order to reap the bounties of development, construction, and renaissance.

He said: “The Higher leadership is keen to root the concept of union in the hearts of its citizens to promote patriotism and devotion for its soil, and to work and continue to give in order to protect advances and maintain capabilities, so our country remains strong, proud, and generous towards its citizens and residents.”

Planting the Union Tree in Al Ain Police Directorate

Brigadier Hamad Ajlan Al Amaimi, Director of Al Ain Police Directorate, planted the Union Tree in the directorate’s garden in the presence of Colonel Hamad Suheil Al Rashidi, Deputy of the Director; Major Seif Hassan Al Mansouri, Chief of Public Relations Section; and a number of officers and individuals.

Brigadier Al Amaimi affirmed that the initiatives of the leadership reflect the love of the leader to the citizens and aim to adopt the path of the His Highness Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan "God rest his soul" the founder of the UAE, who paid attention to agriculture making the UAE a prosperous country in its green spaces.
He stated: “The Union Tree initiative is as a true reflection of the union’s spirit and aims to bind  patriotism with a symbolic gesture that reflects  loyalty to the country enhancing awareness in order to preserve the environment in the UAE. It also stands as a symbol of  positive development that the country is experiencing.” He also highlighted the keenness of Al Ain Police to root concepts of belonging and loyalty in the hearts of the officers and individuals working in the directorate.


…And in Abu Dhabi Traffic and Patrols Directorate

At the Abu Dhabi Police, the Director of the Traffic and Patrols Directorate, Brigadier Eng. Hussein Ahmed Al Harthi, planted the Union Tree with the participation of heads of departments, chiefs of sections, and employees in honor of the 41st National Day of the state.
