Marking the 40th anniversary of the UAE National Day the events of the Ministry of Interior village continued for the second consecutive day at the old airport park in Abu Dhabi Police under the patronage of Lt. General H.H Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minster and Minster of Interior.
Director of central operation at Abu Dhabi Police, Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, paid a visit to the Village where he viewed the exhibits and the services provided by the Ministry of Interior for the public. He toured the different pavilions representing various police departments and units.
He attended some shows presented by visiting school students and handed over gifts to the winners. He also viewed a military firearms show presented by a group of female police officers while police music was being played.
Acting director of public relations at the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier Mohammed Saleh Baddah presented a cultural contest that included questions on the UAE most important landmarks, cities and heritage. He also asked question on the ministry of interior and police departments in the United Arab Emirates.
Head of community police affairs section, Major Ali Saeed Al Mansouri, said: we are here to shed light on the department’s role and activities, indicating that foot patrols have been provided to enlighten the participants about the tasks performed by the community police.
Throughout the day, the police music section keeps playing heritage and national songs to the visitors. Our pavilion tells the visitors about the emergence and history of police schools in the country, said First Lit. Salim Saif Al Kaabi, supervisor of police schools department pavilion.
The pavilion of the directorate general of finance and services of Abu Dhabi Police occupies a large space at the village. It shows police uniforms of all types both in the old and modern times, weapons, medals, decorations and awards.
Put on show at the pavilion are old and modern police vehicles, two maintenance vehicles and a studio capturing instant photos for kids bearing union spirit logo.
Law Respect Bureau also distributed legal pamphlets and publications which it has published since establishment. They contribute to inform the members of the public of the applicable laws in the country in order to increase their legal awareness.
