Meeting with students studying abroad

 

The Committee of Preparing and Qualifying National officers as Specialist Experts in Forensic Evidences has held its annual meeting in the Conference Room of the Department of Forensic Evidence. 35 students who are doing their undergraduate studies in USA, UK and Australia. 

The meeting was attended by Colonel Abdul Rahman Al Hamadi, Director of Forensic Evidence Department, Lt. Colonel (Expert) Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Al Marzouqi, Head of DNA Database Section and Chairman of Qualification Committee and 1st Lt. Ghanim Al Amri from the Qualification and Scholarships Section at the Directorate General of Human Resources.

Colonel Al Hamadi addressed the students saying:” You are living away from your families so you have to work very hard and to invest your time in areas of knowledge and useful things. He wished them every success.”

According to Al Marzouqi this open meeting represents a link with the students studying abroad. Members of the Committee had met the students in UK and asked about their circumstances. They also followed up the progress of students in USA and Australia through the Cultural Attachés Offices in our Embassies in both countries.

The students expressed their thanks and appreciation of the care and interest they receive from ADP GHQ in their foreign countries. Then the students presented their suggestions and enquiries which were answered by the Committee members.

It is worth mentioning that 50 students are sent to USA, UK and Australia to get Bachelor Degree in Bio-criminal, Criminology, Genetics and Forensic Evidence Engineering Sciences.
