Major General Mohammed bin Al Owadi Al Menhali, Director General of Police Operations Department at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, inaugurated the Police Attaché’s office at the UAE embassy in Washington; to enhance its logistic services to the scholarship students and trainees from the Ministry of Interior and Abu Dhabi Police.
Youssef Mana Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the United States, had recently met with Director General of Police Operations Department of Abu Dhabi Police, at the embassy’s headquarters in Washington, who conveyed to him His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior’s regards.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Colonel Sheikh Mohammed bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Director of the Peripheral Areas Police Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police and Omar Obeid Al Shamsi, the Deputy UAE Ambassador to the United States.
Also attending were members from the embassy and the accompanying delegation including Colonel Othman Hajji Khouri, Director of human Resource Office; Colonel Saif Mohammed Al Naimi, from the Human Resources Director General Office, Captain Mohammed Khalil Badran, from Police Operations Director General Office, and Captain Abdulaziz Al Sharif, the Police attaché at UAE embassy in the United States.
Major General Al Owadi praised the role of the UAE embassy in Washington in facilitating the functions and procedures of the scholarship students and trainees. In his speech on the occasion of the Attaché’s Office inauguration, he reiterated the police leadership’s keenness to reinforce the role of the attaché’s office in providing support to scholarship students and trainees, pointing out that the full development program of the attaché’s office comes in line with the directives of Lt. General His Highness Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior to make the attaché’s office an exemplary police office in its services and communication with all concerned bodies, and an honorable image reflecting the police leadership abroad.
He called on the members of the work team at the attaché’s office to double their efforts to achieve a sustainable excellence in their services, which will positively reflect on achieving the aspirations of our police leaderships. He urged the scholarship students and trainees to continuously communicate and benefit from the activities and programs provided by the attaché’s office, which reinforce the academic and educational fields and enable them to fulfill their tasks as intended.
At the end of the ceremony, Major General AL Owadi presented the Ambassador with a memorial shield in recognition of his significant role, and to the embassy’s diplomatic corps for supporting the UAE’s mission and strengthening its status towards excellence and leadership in the American capital, Washington.
For his part, Captain Abdulaziz Al Sharif, the Police attaché at UAE embassy in the United States, commended the presence of the Police Operations Director General for honoring the attaché’s office inauguration, to achieve the sustainable institutional excellence that the attaché is keen to promote, in order to become an efficient and outstanding body in the United States, based on the unlimited support provided by the Police leadership in this area.
He expressed his thanks and gratitude for the police leadership, stressing that without its trust and support, the attaché’s office wouldn’t have achieved this privileged position, in its strive for excellence. He also reiterated the attaché’s office readiness to provide all facilities to the concerned parties as per the police leadership’s directives in this regard.
