Following the instructions of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, on the need for cooperation between the various departments and work within one system; Major General Nasser bin Al Awadi Al Menhali, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs, announced on Wednesday morning, the opening of the Communication Center of the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs Department at the Dubai General Department for Residency and Foreigners Affairs.
Actual work at the center, located at the Dubai General Department for Residency and Foreigners Affairs, is scheduled to begin as of October 10, and will include receiving complaints and suggestions.
Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs said: “this initiative comes in line with the instructions of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to improve services provided by the Ministry, represented by the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs Department. This initiative also embodies the Ministry’s vision of the strategic plan for 2011-2013 ‘to work effectively to turn the United Arab Emirates, into one of the best safe and secure countries in the world’.”
Al Menhali noted that the center aims to enhance communication with community members by receiving their suggestions and finding solutions for their problems. “A main office will be established in the future in Abu Dhabi, in addition to offices in the other Emirates, in order to provide distinguished services to the public,” he added.
The announcement was made during a meeting held at the Dubai General Department for Residency and Foreigners Affairs. The meeting was attended by General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director-General of the Dubai General Department for Residency and Foreigners Affairs, director generals of Residency and Foreigners Affairs Directorates in the country, department directors, and a number of officers and employees from the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs Department.
Moreover, Al Menhali expressed his happiness to meet media representatives, the leading partners in bringing information to community members. He also expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed in launching this center.
For his part, Brigadier Sultan Al Nuaimi, Director-General of the Ras Al Khaimah General Department for Residency and Foreigners Affairs, and Head of the Organizational Excellence Team at the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs Department, said that the Ministry of Interior is exerting unremitting efforts in the field of excellence and quality of service.
Brigadier Al Nuaimi stressed the keenness to implement the second goal of the strategic plan, with respect to preserving the public’s trust, by delivering distinguished high-quality services. He noted that the center will take up the task of communicating with the various media, and f solving any obstacles and problem that may face customers, on the toll free number 8005111.
“The race towards excellence is an endless competition, and developing public services at the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs Department is a national duty that honors all of the Department’s personnel across all their positions,” he added.
Brigadier Al Nuaimi concluded by saying: “the opening of this center embodies our deep-rooted faith in the significant role played by the government in the service of the public, by providing the best-in-class services according to the most advanced standards.”
