Major General Al Awadhi open traffic awareness city in Abu Dhabi

Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Director General of the Police Operations at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ opened here today the Traffic Awareness City.

The launch of the city is part of the 27th GCC Traffic Week Celebrations Cutting the inauguration ribbon, Al Menhali said, "The protection of children and ensuring their safety on the road and in the vehicles is one of the main issues given priority by the Abu Dhabi Police's strategic traffic safety."

 He stressed the importance of making the traffic awareness programmes attractive to children to become an important component of their traffic culture.
Present were Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, Executive Director for School Operations at Abu Dhabi Educational Council, Brig. Omair Mohammed Al Muhairi, Acting Deputy Director General of Police Operations and other police officers.
