to qualify specialists and experts in different areas
Ministry of Interior has signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation with Abu Dhabi University (ADU) to qualify specialists,, technicians and experts in different areas. The aim of the MOU is to raise the standard of scientific research, training and to develop efficiency among MoI personnel. Thus MoI will link between its objectives and community needs.
Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Shaafar, MoI Undersecretary, signed for the Ministry of Interior. Ali Saeed bin Harmal Al Dhahri, Chairman of Abu Dhabi University Executive Council, signed for the University. The ceremony was attended by major General Nasser La Khreibani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. Booth parties were keen to strengthen joint relations between them in the development of human resources and expansion of cooperation horizons in education and training areas.
According to the pact, ADU will provide the modern scientific curriculum, equipment and teaching staff to qualify specialists, technicians and experts in different areas. ADU will cooperate in academic and training fields, in addition to coordination to achieve the desired aims.
Lt. General Al Shaafar lauded the existing cooperation between MoI and ADU for the benefit of all. With this high standard and academic status which ADU has achieved at local and global levels, and its implementation of educational programmes in accordance with best global standards, MoI gains much by this MOU.
Then he added "ADU move forward steadily towards the development of high education in the country. MoI bears heavy burden and needs partners to contribute to enhancement of security and safety process which our country enjoys. MoI pays great attention to the training and education of MoI personnel".
In turn Ali Saeed bin Harmal Al Dhahri lauded the vision of Hh Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and HH's keenness to develop human resources in different policing sectors and allowing them to gain necessary skills in scientific and practical fields.
The ceremony was also attended by Brigadier Ali Mohammad bin Darweesh, Director general of MoI Human Resources, Colonel (DR.) Ali Salim Al Tenaiji, Director General of Training, Colonel (Dr.) Mohammad Saeed Humeidi, Director of Officers Training Institute at the Police College, Lt. Colonel (DR.) Salah Obeid al Ghoul, Director of Law Respect Culture Office at the Secretariat General of the Office of HH the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Dr. James McCain, Deputy Director of ADU for Academic affairs, Dr. Jacob Shako, Dean of the faculty of Business Administration, Ahmed Dahdooli, Director of ADU Marketing and a number of MoI officers.
