Kids Park to host “Child and Animal Festival”

Under the patronage of HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Supreme Chairperson of Family Development Foundation, and Chairwoman of the General Women's Union and President of the Higher Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Dr Rashid Ahmed bin Fahd, Minister of Environment and Water, Majid Ali Al Mansouri, Head of Municipal Affairs Department and Nasser Salim Al Nuaimi, owner of Kids Park Project opened the “Child and Animal Week” on Sunday evening at Kids Park in Al Bahyiah. 

Dr. Rashid toured the park and viewed the animals, and also visited the Child Farm and reacted with children as they were caring for plants. He thanked Al Nuaimi for the great efforts and his initiative to establish the park which reflects his refined feeling of reasonability towards his society.

Majid Al Mansouri also praised the efforts of Nasser Al Nuaimi in preserving the environment and the animals. He considered the project as a unique experience which provides suitable atmosphere for children and families both alike. He called on various bodies to support such vital projects and provide logistic and financial support to the project of Kids Park.

Nasser Al Nuaimi said, under an honorable patronage from HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Mother of the Emirates, we open this third festival. It is a week-long free of charge event through which we intend to support children and ensure their adequate growth. It includes various activities and lectures about animals, face drawing, cartoons and acrobatic shows.

“During the last year 2010, total visitors of the park have reached 150.000, and we expect that the number will rise up to 250.000 visitors by the end of this year”, pointed out Al Nuaimi.

Next week the Park will be receive the giraffes, and in two weeks the “Ocean Park, will be opened officially, added Al Nuaimi.

The third festival lasts from May 22 to 26, 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm daily, free of charge for kids below 16 years of age.
