The ceremony was attended by Major General (S) Khalifa Harib Al Kheili, MoI Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services, in the presence of number of Directors General and Directors of Department at ADP GHQ.
Al Kheili said "Training concept is not a fulcrum for development and modernization only, but it is a necessity which all institutions seek to achieve in order to promote and brushing up the skills and abilities of their human cadres.
"MoI seeks to promote an integrated training system, to develop individual skills and abilities and to find new talents to push policing wheel forward", added Al Kheili.
'Training concept is no longer a traditional concept restricted to organization of traditional courses and giving away passing certificates, but it has become a strategic option in the light of human resources development system. Therefore, we count much on these courses to achieve their goals, which suit the police force requirements", added Al Kheili.
"The real standard for evaluating the performance of different police and security agencies is meeting to community expectations and needs. This we are after in response to our police leadership. We seek to achieve security and reassurance of our community with its different segments, and to reach excellence in security work to confront the challenges of our era. The concept of comprehensive security affects all aspects of life, whether it is social, economic or security", added Al Kheili.
Lt. Colonel Thani Batti Al Shamsi, Director of Training Department said in his speech on behalf of the Directorate General of Human Resources, during the ceremony "Command training courses are tools for key change in government and non-government management and leadership. It is the approach which ADP GHQ adopts for years, as it believes that the absence of successful and qualified leadership leads to the absence of good performance and productivity and failure of administration to achieve its goals".
He affirmed ADP keenness to graduate qualified and well-trained police cadres in order to keep pace with the developments witnessed by the country in different areas. The command batch graduated today is a strong addition to police work efforts. They were trained in the latest administrative, policing and security systems and concepts, in collaboration with the most advanced police institutes, such as the British NPIA", added Al Shamsi.
In the same context Lt. Colonel Kevin Smith, Regional Advisor of NPIA said "Active leadership is the corner stone for the success of any organization, lauding ADP keenness on effective and specialized training for its personnel".
