Iftar meals distributed to motorists in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Western Region
Traffic patrols of ADP Traffic and Patrols Directorate have started roaming the streets before Maghrib Prayer time to perform the humanitarian role of distributing Iftar meals to drivers at intersections in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western region.
Colonel Khamis Ishaq Mohammad, Acting Director of Traffic and Patrols at ADP said "The Directorate of Traffic and Patrols has prepared a plan to intensify its efforts in curbing traffic accidents, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. The initiative of distributing meals before Iftar time is one of the solutions considered by ADP to reduce accidents resulting from speeding, lack of concentration and tension to reach home before Iftar.”
Colonel Ishaq has urged drivers to behave in a civilized way and to avoid reckless driving. There are many restaurants and guest house along internal and external roads where motorists can take their meals and then continue their trips.
