Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Resources and Support Services, attended on Thursday, the honoring ceremony for the teams participating in the 5th Annual Sports Competition organized by the Police Sports Association (PSA) for all Ministry of Interior members in Abu Dhabi between 2-12 of April. The ceremony was held in the conference room at the Ministry, in the presence of Major General Matar Salim bin Musaid Al Niyadi, Director General of Telecommunications and Electronic Services at the Ministry of Interior.
Major General AL- Khaili, said that all sports events this year have witnessed unique and strong competitiveness between all the participating sectors which has boosted the team spirit reflected in the increased performance rate of police work, asserting the Ministry’s keenness to provide the necessary needs and components to make this event successful.
At the end of his speech, he expressed his hope in the continuity of organizing such sports events which aims at making sports a way of life between the members of the Ministry of Interior.
Advisor Abdullah Salim bin Nassra al Amri, Chairman of the Police Sports Association (PSA), assured that organizing this event for the fifth consecutive year, comes as an embodiment of the Police Sports Association’s (PSA) strategy of promoting sports between Police members and encouraging them to practice sports for what it holds of positive effects on the Police members’ health as well as the development of their physical, emotional and mental abilities which enables them to fulfill their tasks to the fullest as well as improve and enhance social bonding and develop performance functionality.
Advisor Abdullah Salim bin Nassra al Amri, valued the support of our Police Headquarters for sports in the state in general and particularly in the Ministry of Interior; praising the cooperation of all sectors and their positive contribution in this event; which had a great effect in achieving the goals and aspirations of the Police Sports Association (PSA).
On his part, Colonel Abdul Malik Jani, Director of Police Sports Association (PSA), expressed his gratitude to the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Resources and Support Services for his great support to this event. He also thanked Advisor Salim Bin Nasra Al Ameri for his continuous follow up for these activities and his keenness to overcome all the obstacles that the Police Sports Association (PSA) faced when organizing this event as well as enhancing its level which positively contributes to better police performance.
At the end of the event, Major General, Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, helped by Advisor Abdullah Salim bin Nassra al Amri and Colonel Abdul Malik Jani, honored the participating sectors in this sports event as well as the hosting bodies which contributed to its success. He also presented the trophies and awards to the winning teams of the first three positions, as well as the winning participants in all sports and education competitions.
The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Resources and Support Services, presented the Shield of the General Secretariat of His Highness, Deputy Prime Minister to Minister of Interior’s Office for ranking first in all sports events with 360 points, followed by Police Academy Sector with 356 points and then General Headquarter of Civil Defense with 341 points.
