Graduation ceremony for 43 officers who complete 3 courses


Major General Khamis Saif bin Suwaif, director general of Criminal Security at the Ministry of Interior, attended the graduation ceremony of 42 officers who completed three training courses which are: “forensics and crime scene”, “human rights” and “methodologies of leadership and management excellence”. The course was held at the El Itihad auditorium at the Police College.

Bin Suwaif said that the Ministry of Interior is working on enhancing standards of excellence on different areas of security work to confront the challenges of this time, and on promoting the culture of police officers; pointing out that graduation of this distinguished group of officers helps raise the training process.

Colonel Saif Al Kaabi, Saif Ali Al Kutbi, director of the Police College, clarified that leadership and planning are the secret of success and progress, and this what the Ministry of Interior is adopting while implementing the principles of strategy to set the future visions and aspirations of the police and security apparatuses.

Colonel Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al Hameedi, director of the Police Officers Training Institute praised the good performance of officers and their dedication to benefit from the curricula of the courses.

The course titled “forensics and crime scene”, with 14 officers participating, aimed to inform of the crime scene and its importance in criminal investigation, and of the correct methods of dealing with and preserving evidence and traces.

“The human rights” course was held to enlighten the (11) participants with their duties and rights, thus ensuring the freedom and dignity of individuals.  While 18 officers took part in the course titled “methodologies of leadership and management excellence” which focused on promoting these methodologies to attain the best outcomes through training them on international leadership and management excellence standards and methods.

At the end of the ceremony, Major General Suwaif along with Colonel Al Kutbi and Dr. Colonel Al Hameedi presented top achievers with gifts and handed over certificates to the graduates.
