Four-game gathering of police kicks off at RAK

 

Brigadier Mohammad Al Noobi Mohammad, Deputy Director General of TAK Police, opened at RAK Police Officers Club the 12th Championship of Four-game Gathering, organized by the Police Sports Association, on Sunday morning.

The ceremony was attended by Colonel Nasser Salim Mardd, Director of Traffic and Licensing at RAK Police, Colonel Ghanim Ahmed Ghanim, Director of RAK Police Policing Operations and a number of MoI officers.

The participant would compete in four types of games, including Tug of war, Snooker, table Tennis and Road race. The Championship would continue until next Wednesday.

The participating teams represent: ADP GHQ, Dubai Police GHQ, Sharjah Police Directorate General, RAK Police Directorate General, Ajman Police Directorate General, Um Al Quwein Police Directorate General, Al Fujairah Police Directorate General, and Sharjah Federal Police School, Directorate General of Naturalization and Residency and Civil Defence GHQ.

Al Noobi has affirmed that the organization of such sports events reflects the attention that the police Higher Leadership pay to police personnel for their physical fitness and for strengthening social and friendly ties between MoI employees.

He has thanked the Police Sports Association for organizing the Championship and providing all capabilities for its success.

A number of competitions were held on Sunday. Two matches of tug of war were held. ADP GHQ team beat Civil Defence GHQ team (2-0). In the second match Dubai Police GHQ team beat Sharjah Federal Police School team (2-0). Three matches of table tennis were also held, where the Civil defence Team beat Al Fujairah Police (3-2), RAK Police team beat Sharjah Federal Police School (3-1) and Dubai Police team beat Al Fujairah Police team (3-0).

Snooker competitions results were: Dubai Police team beat Um Al Quwein Police team (2-0), Sharjah Federal Police School beat RAK Police team (2-1) and ADP team beat Al Fujairah Police team (2-1).

Civil Defence team beat Ajman Police team (2-1), Dubai Police team beat Sharjah Federal Police School (2-0) and Civil defence team beat Al Fujairah Police team (2-0).
