Experts: Abu Dhabi is qualified to become
 an international center for The diagnosis of bone diseases and injuries

 

The activities of the first two-day basic training course in the use of ultrasonic waves in the diagnosis of bone diseases and injuries, hosted by ADP Department of Medical Services, at the Holiday Inn Hotel, were concluded yesterday, Sunday evening. International experts and specialists from US, Austria, Belgium and the UAE participated in the course.

The participating experts expressed deep thanks and gratitude to our police leadership for the generous welcome they received during the course and well organization of the event. They all affirmed that Abu Dhabi is qualified to become an international center for the diagnosis of bone diseases and injuries in the Middle East.

Brigadier Salim Saleh Al Jineibi, Director of Medical services said "Our Police Leadership, through these courses seeks to make the Medical Service an International Center for Training and to allow staff to gain international expertise and latest techniques in the treatment of bone diseases and injuries".

"Use of ultrasonic in diagnosis will assist physicians and specialists in discovering rupture, muscles injuries, any bleeding inside muscles or joints, benign and malignant tumors and any early rheumatic changes”, added Al Jineibi.

Dr. Ayman Mohammad Faheem, Acting Bones Consultant and one of the course lecturers said "The 9th and 10th of next April will be the dates of the next training course so as to enable doctors and specialists to use ultrasonic waves in bone diseases and injuries diagnosis".

 "30 participants from government and private hospitals (Zayed Military Hospital, Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Al Mufraq Hospital and Al Rahba Hospital), ADP Medical Services and private sector hospitals and clinics, participated in the training course", added Dr. Faheem.

“The course offered a number of theoretical and practical lectures on volunteers carried out by Philip peterwinz from Belgium, Antonio Bovard, from US, Dr. Andria Clowzer, from Austria, in addition to Dr. Ayman Faheem from the Medical services”, added Faheem.

"A series of basic, medium and advanced courses will be organized (One course each 6 months) up to the year 2012. An international conference will follow these courses, to enable Abu Dhabi to become an international center for training in bone diseases and injuries diagnosis, in the Middle east", added Faheem.
