Exchange of e Data between Ministry and Police reviewed

The Ministry of Justice, Islamic affairs and auqaf and Abu Dhabi Police are working on the final stages of an electronic transaction project which enables the Police and the Public Prosecution to exchange data including complaints and investigation files. The project is expected to save time and effort.
Adviser Abdul Rahim Al Awadhi, assistant undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, Islamic affairs and acqaf for international cooperation, met Colonel Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director Operations at Abu Dhabi Police to discuss the project. He said, the project was an important step to facilitate transactions for both the agencies.
Colonel Al Raisi emphasized the importance of technical integration between the Police and Public Prosecution; he said that the move would further simplify the procedures.
He said L.t.Gen. Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Interior supports the project and issued instructions to remove any obstacles to make it a reality as soon as possible, the project is progressing according to the plan he said.
The meeting discussed several issues, including the time frame for completing the project as well as using video conferencing facilities at punitive centers and Public Prosecution offices.
