Eleventh grade UAE female student, Ameena Safar Al Hosani, won the AED 40.000 award of UAE PROUD 40 Contest for her video which contained a piece of cake decorated with number 40, and visuals for the most prominent landmarks of Abu Dhabi.
“I was extremely pleased when I received the news of winning the award ”, said Ameena, who studies at Salama Bint Buti School in Bani Yas, expressing thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Interior for organizing this ‘distinguished’ contest, and for its efforts to keep in touch with the members of the public.
As may as 100 entries of different arts varieties on video clips, photos, paintings, poetry and works depicting the loyalty and pride of the country and its leadership have been received. They contained topics demonstrating the country’s establishment process, service projects and urban development, as well the heritage.
Abu Dhabi Police responded to the queries sent by the audience at the Contest’s link to make it easy for everybody to take part in the contest. Their comments included love and pride of the country’s national achievement.
The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, has launched the contest last month with the winning entries will be selected and announced on the second day of the next three months (December, January and February), with one winner every month. Each winner will be awarded AED 40,000.
The competition will provide opportunity for Emiratis, expatriates and visitors to participate in the contest by preparing video clips containing visuals of the landmarks of the UAE, paintings, poetry, music, patriotic songs and the like.
They need to upload the videos on the link www.facebook.com/AbuDhabiPolice or the Abu Dhabi Police’s page on the YouTube http://www.youtube.com/theuaeproud40.
As per the conditions of the competition, the video clips should be named UAE Proud 40, and should contain the full name and e-mail address of the participant in the details of the video.
The Security Media Department praised the efforts of all participants and their response with the police community initiatives which help cement the national cohesion and strengthen ties of loyalty to the nation and its leaders.
