Police Sports Association Board of Directors has approved the programme of the new season during a meeting chaired by Advisor Abdullah Salim bin Nassra al Amri, Chairman of the Police Sports Association (PSA)at the Police Officers; Club in Abu Dhabi. The meeting was attended by Brigadier Mohammad Saeed Al Marri, Deputy Chairman, Brigadier Hussain Mohammad Hussain, General Secretary and all members of the Board of Directors.
The Chairman opened the meeting by congratulating PSA Members, Commanders and Directors General on the start of the new sports season 2010 – 2011, wished them every success and urged them to put more effort.
The Chairman and Members of the Board of Directors congratulated Colonel Ghanim Ahmed Ghanim on electing him as Chairman of Referees Committee of the Arab Football association and wished him every success.
Colonel Abdul Malik Jani, Director of PSA reviewed the issues included in the meeting agenda, sports activities plan for the new sports season and statistics of participating Headquarters and Directorates General in the plan games. The Board of Directors decided to form a committee from the Board of Directors Members to visit Headquarters and Directorates general for more communication to enhance sports activities.
The Board of Directors decided to organize the first championship of the sports season 2010 – 2011 of beach games, tomorrow, Sunday under the slogan "The Police and the Community". The championship will run up to 21 October 2010, and will be hosted by the Directorate General of Ajman Police. The games will include football, volleyball, tug of war and road race. Participation will be open for ages and nationalities, in order to create more channels of communication with the community.
The Board of Directors also has decided to organize a tournament under the slogan "Developing the national cadre in sports activities", in cooperation with Leadership Qualification Center and MoI Department of Training, during the period from 31 October to 4 November 2010, to raise cultural and intellectual level of all police personnel.
He has lauded the great cooperation with all sports agencies and institutions in the country. He has decided to forward some issues to the Technical Committee which is chaired by Brigadier Hussain Mohammad Hussain for consideration. The issues include participation of MoI Directorates General in PSA official activities, reconsideration of the name of shooting shield general outshining and the full evaluation of the results of organization of first Olympic shooting championship for future championships.
He has agreed on cooperation with the Directorate general of Sharjah Police on the activation of cultural campaign (civilized cheering of players) , in order to disseminate sports culture and to target the beach goers.
The Board of Directors has also reviewed the arrangements and plans for the UAE participation in the Triathlon games championship which will be held in the Sultanate of Oman during the period from 8 to 16 December 2010.
The Board of Directors has reviewed the invitation sent by the Arab Police Sports Association in order to attend the meetings of the General Assembly of the Associati
