Electronic crime and counter terrorism strategies discussed
The International Security and National Resilience Conference and Exhibition ISNR-2010, will conclude its works tomorrow Wednesday. A workshop will be held in collaboration with the Telecommunication Regulatory Authority, on the role of telecommunication sector in international security and resilience.
The Conference continued its activities for the second consecutive day. Twp working sessions were held on Tuesday. The first was chaired by Brigadier Jasim Mohammad Al Marzouqi, Deputy Director General of Human Resources at ADP GHQ. Four working papers were presented during the first session: Strategic Consequences of Critical Targets protection, Modern Trends in Handling Nuclear Energy Crises, Terrorism Fighting Strategies and UAE Contributions to Crises Confrontation and Resilience at Regional and International Level.
The second session was chaired by Dr. Ghanim Mohammad Al Hajri, General Manager of Sharjah International Airport. Five working papers were presented during this session: Modern Trends in Aviation Security, facing Security Challenges through Building a Safety System, Illegal Immigration and Infiltration, European Methods in Dealing with Security Issues and Modern Trends in Transport Security.
Workshops
The workshops went side by side with the Conference activities. The first workshop discussed critical national security issues, maritime security, maritime safety and security solutions, borders surveillance, ID management, emergencies and crises management and mass destruction weapons risks.
The second workshop discussed issues related to protection of critical facilities, such as, development of security operations in critical infrastructure, security inspection technologies in transport means and critical facilities, security solutions of transport infrastructure, development of an integrated approach to protect environmental system in oil and gas facilities, security of energy infrastructure, and security of energy smart cards.
