Community Police participates in the camel festival in the Western Region
ADP Community Police Department participates in the 3rd Session of Al Dhafra Camel Beauty Festival 2010. The festival is organized by Abu Dhabi Culture and heritage Authority in the Western Region, under the patronage of HH General Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. The festival duration is from 30 January to 8 February 2010.
According to Lt. Colonel Mubarak Awadh bin Meheiroom, Director of Community Police Department, the Department is keen to participate and communicate with the public in different activities and events, in order to highlight the effective role of ADP GHQ.
They are keen to enhance police programmes and objectives through cooperation with the public, nationals, residents and visitors. The festival has witnessed great turnout from GCC nationals. The Department delivers lectures and distributes awareness publications to boost security culture.
The community police participation is divided into two parts. One is in a hair-made tent, where lectures, publications and commemorative gifts are presented to the public. In addition to interesting programme for children through the comic character of Dabdoob. The other is the visiting team to farms and camel owners to ask them about their needs and acquaint them with the Community Police role.
