Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Dhahri, Director General of Headquarters Affairs, has received the Uzbek Police delegation, headed by Major General Mukhtar Niyazov, Deputy Chief of Uzbek National Security, during the delegation visit to Security Inspection and Explosives and Weapons Departments, of ADP Directorate General of Security and Ports Affairs.
During the meeting both sides discussed ways to boost cooperation and exchange of expertise in different security and policing areas. The meeting was attended by Brigadier Ahmed Nakheerah, Director of MoI Human Rights Department, Lt. Colonel Jamal Habash Director of Security Inspection Department, Lt. Colonel Salim Humood Salim, Deputy Director of Weapons and Explosive Department and a number of officers.
Brigadier Al Dhahri briefed the visiting delegation on ADP GHQ strategy, which is linked with Abu Dhabi Government Strategic Plan. MoI strategy is linked with is linked with the strategic plan of the Federal Government. ADP strategy is based on the development and modernization of human and technical capabilities, especially in training and use of latest technologies in different security fields.
The visiting delegation watched a joint demonstration by the Security Inspection Team specialized in contraband goods and explosives detection and Weapons and Explosives Team. Both Teams showed their abilities and skills in dealing with explosives through a scenario of inspecting goods and detecting by use of police dogs explosives in one of the bags where the Weapons and Explosives Team neutralized them by remote control.
The delegation also watched a demonstration of search and rescue (K9) by trained sniffer dogs, personal search operation and another demonstration of assault and arrest. Then the delegation was briefed on the contents of weapons and explosives exhibition and their uses. They acquaint themselves with the latest equipments and apparatus in use.
At the end of the visit both sides exchanged mementos.
