An Arab Treaty to fight IT Crimes is recommended 

 

The participants in the International Conference on Fighting IT Crimes, recommended an Arab Treaty to Fight IT Crimes, like the European Agreement of the Presumed Crime.

The participants decided to send a cable of thanks and appreciation to HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minster of Interior, for his kind patronage of the Conference. The Conference which was organized by the Institute of Training and judicial Studies in collaboration with ADP GHQ, concluded its sessions at the Emirates Palace Hotel, on Tuesday. A number of recommendations were made by the Conference. The recommendations stressed the importance of holding of conferences, discussion groups, symposiums and workshops in fighting IT Crimes.

The presents also recommended the continuous training of those involved in combating IT crimes. They stressed the importance of families and religious, social and sports institutions, and public utility societies in protection against such crimes. Special departments for IT crimes were to be set up in The Courts.

The recommendations stressed the importance of including IT crimes in academic and educational curricula. The international, legal, judicial, security and technological best practices in the areas of IT crimes fighting should be adopted. Local, Federal, Arab, Regional and International efforts should be intensified to confront IT crimes.
