Al Reisi calls for the transfer from counter to keyboard culture
Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters wing at 30th Gitex Exhibition, which concluded its activities on Thursday, attracted large number of specialists and visitors, who visited the wing to acquaint themselves with the electronic services showcased by ADP.
Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Reisi, Director General of ADP Central Operations affirmed ADP GHQ keenness to exist and participate in all local and international activities. He confirmed the importance of Gitex Exhibition, in terms of its fame and attraction of global IT leading companies and experts, which would enable ADP to build its technological capabilities and to select the best of them.
ADP this year registered a distinguished participation. It had showcased tenth of its electronic services and educated the public and institutions on how to make use of these services. The wing supervisors were also keen to listen to the wing visitors’ views and suggestions about e-services of ADP.
During his tour around the exhibition he noticed great progress in e-services which government ministries, establishments and departments deliver. It was a thing to be proud of by all UAE people. It also affirms the keenness of the country higher leadership to transfer to e-services.
Al Reisi said “We need to make accelerated changes in community culture and how to deal with the forms and formulas of the e-government. Such culture if it is deeply implanted will lead to the success of e-government experiment, where many of traditional government services are now being delivered electronically and easily. Many local and federal authorities have clear visions in e-service delivery. These visions are derived from the general strategy of the federal and local governments. Efforts should be doubled to educate on transfer from counter to keyboard culture”.
Colonel Ismaeel Al Sarcal, Deputy Director General of ADP Central Operations said “ADP GHQ Wing attracted large number of the country senior officials, local and foreign delegations and representatives of leading companies, exhibiters and community members. They all have appreciated the e-services that ADP delivers to its customers. During this tenth participation we have sought to deliver different and diversified services to the visitors in an attractive way to reflect the leading role of ADP”.
“We have focused this year on online electronic traffic services in their different forms, in order to save people time and effort and they are delivered in high degree of confidentiality. The public have reviewed the services and latest radar in use by ADP (The Sniper) to spot reckless drivers. Visitors also have expressed their admiration of the unique police motorbike (The Falcon) with its distinguished design, safety kit, red color, and alarm siren, gloves and first aids box. It assists in communication with the community”, added Al Sarcal.
Colonel Anwar Abdullah al Mullah, Director of Information Technology at ADP Directorate General of Central Operations said “ADP Wing organized a daily competition throughout Gitex period involving valuable prizes. ADP Magazine (999) participated in the show and distributed large number of the magazine edition. ADP signed four pacts during Gitex Exhibition with Al Ain Distribution Company, where ADP would provide the Company with Tetra Wireless System of Communication. Another pact signed with Etisalat Company regarding technical cooperation.
