Al Kitbi reviews security arrangements for the FIFA Club World Cup
Major General (S) Obeid Al Hiri Salim Al Kitbi, Deputy Commander-in-chief of Abu Dhabi Police paid a visit to Mohammad bin Zayed Stadium to review security arrangements and Security Committee rehearsals for the FIFA Club World Cup which will kick off tomorrow, Wednesday at the above mentioned stadium. The closing ceremony of the event will be held on December 19 at Zayed Sports City Stadium.
Al Kitbi invited all those concerned to cooperate in order to make a success of the event. He also stressed the importance of compliance with the directives of HH General Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, which call for joint efforts to reflect great achievements of our country.
Al Kitbi appreciated the effective role of the Security Committee in facilitating the organization of big event. The Committee had discussed all necessary security aspects provided by Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, to ensure the safety all those involved in the grand tournament – players and members of delegations. Al Kitbi was accompanied by Brigadier Faris Khalifa Al Farsi, Director general of Establishments Protection Directorate, Colonel Rashid Suhail Al Ali, Director of Special Tasks Department at ADP, and a number of police officers and officials.
In the same context Colonel Rashid, Officer in Charge of the Security Force for the tournament, stated that the works of the Security Committee would continue to follow up all formalities concerning the entrance and exit of the public, and urging supporters to comply with security and traffic guides.
