Al Bawardi: "Kids Park" is an entertaining and knowledge building center
 

Mr. Mohammad Ahmed Al Bawardi, Secretary General of Abu Dhabi Emirate Executive Council and Delegated Member to Environment Authority confirms Abu Dhabi Government support for individual environment projects which teaches children how to deal with animals and how to grow plants. He said "Abu Dhabi Government will support such projects, by all means. We are prepared to provide unlimited support to ensure the success of such projects".

In his statement during the opening of Children Play and Wild Animals Wings at the Kids park in Al Bahya Area, on the side lines of the Child and Animal Festival week. He added "Children communication with animals will develop their minds. We want to bring up children who can understand the world. And preserve environment. Kids Park provides these requirements for our children".

Such institutions assist in completion of education process. Kida Park enhances Government efforts to preserve environment.

Opening ceremony was attended by Major General Nasser Salim La Khreibani Al Nuaimi, owner of the project, Mr. Mubarak Al Miheiri, Director General of Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, a number of Officials and large number of Park visitors.

The owner of this national and social project Mr. Nasser La Khreibani Al Nuaimi says, we seek to reduce the gab created by modern life between children and animals in order to enhance familiarity between them within safe atmospheres. This will also acquaints them with our environmental partners and how to maintain them through knowing their types, how to possess them and their methods of life.

The Park allows children to grow plants through "My Plant" programme. The child will select the seed and plant it with the assistance of the Agricultural Guide in the Park. It is registered in his name and he can pick its fruit in the future.

Mr. Majid Al Mansouri, Secretary General of Environment Authority in Abu Dhabi, said" The Authority will present technical support to such projects in order to preserve environment and to keep wild animals from extinction, in addition to their role in providing appropriate atmospheres for children to discover animal world".

Dr. Mugheer Al Kheili, Director General of Abu Dhabi Educational Council, considers Kids Park is a model for teaching children how to deal with animals and how to grow plants. He has lauded the experience.

According to the Park data it is one of the modern tourist landmarks in Abu Dhabi Emirate. It contains animals from all continents in an area of 27,000 square meters. It introduces wild and sea animals, reptiles, birds and butterflies to families and children. They can watch them in a creative manner not like the prevailing styles in zoos.

The Park intends to create a natural environment with social, cultural and humanitarian dimension, in order to extend communication bridges between community members and environment. It encourages children to preserve environment and to instill in them animal care values.

The Child and Animal Festival Week is intended to support childhood and its proper growth. It is free. The activities include lectures on animals
