Al Ain winner for the ADP 4th Athletics Championship
Al Ain Police Directorate Team has won the Abu Dhabi Police 4th Athletics Championship.
The Championship was organized by the Sports Activities Section, Department of Clubs and Sports Activities at ADP GHQ. The Championship represents the beginning of sports season 2009/2010.
According to Lt. Colonel Aarif Saif Al Shamsi, Head of Sports Section, two other championships will be organized in March, 27 2010 and May, 26 2010. Our strategy is to make police personnels with high physical fitness to be able to carry out their duties efficiently.
Mr. Hussain Mohammad Al Safar, Secretary of UAE Body Building Association has appreciated ADP GHQ achievement in the Championship. He said "There are new promising individuals whom he hopes will join UAE National Team which will participate in the Arab Championship next April".
According to Lt. Khalid Saeed Nakd, Director of Sports Facilities and Physical Fitness, the 45 participants in the Championship represent eight ADP Departments. Department of Special Tasks won the 2nd place and The Department of Correctional and Punitive establishments won the 3rd place.
