Advanced Operations Room set up at Emirates Palace Hotel for IRENA security
The High Security Committee for the 3rd Session of the Preparatory Commission for the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) has set up an advanced operations room at the Emirates Palace Hotel, for the security of the international meeting which began its activities began yesterday (Sunday).
The Committee urged all participating parties to cooperate with each others to make a success of this global gathering, dealing with renewable energy issues. WE would like to reflect the distinguished stature of UAE as a center for many international activities.
According to Major General (S) Obeid Al Kitbi, Deputy C-in-C of Abu Dhabi Police, Chairman of High Security Committee, the hosting of the event by UAE was a proof of world confidence in UAE ability to organize such key conferences.
Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Risi, Director General of Central Operations at ADP, Member of the High Security Committee said:" Our Higher Leadership is always keen to disseminate environmental awareness, to implement global standards of sustainable development and to entrench individual and community role in environmental participation.
According to Brigadier Omeir Al Miheiri, Deputy Director of Policing Operations Directorate, and Silver Commander, for securing the summit sessions, all concerned parties cooperated between themselves for the event success.
Media Affairs Committee of the High Security Committee held a meeting in the Central Operations Conference Room with key partners. The meeting was chaired by Major Fayssal Al Shamari, Chairman of the Sub-committee. During the meeting Major Al Shamari was named as the official Spokesman. Contact with mass media was to be made in accordance with specified procedures and protocols. Al Shamari also, confirmed that they were determined to achieve to our Higher Leadership aspirations.
