Abu Dhabi Traffic specifies vehicles decorations controls

ADP Directorate of Traffic and Patrols has made a comprehensive plan to ensure traffic safety and traffic flow on internal and external roads during the 39th National Day celebrations.

Colonel (Engineer) Hussain Ahmed Al Harthi, Director of Traffic and patrols at ADP said "ADP encourages celebrations with this valuable national occasion. He urges drivers to abide by traffic rules, whether in respect of respecting traffic regulations or decorations of their vehicles in a way that does not violate traffic rules and regulations".

Al Harthi has urged motorists to comply with traffic safety rules when decorating their vehicles: Neither front nor windows glass should be made very dim; no photos should be stuck on them, so as not to block vision during driving. Vehicles number plates should not be covered or made hidden by decorations.

"Vehicles should not be overloaded with passengers. People should not sit on the roof of vehicles or their bonnets, not sitting on windows or puling stunts on roads, and any other behaviors which disturb other road users. Drivers should give priority to police, ambulance and emergency vehicles. People should not change the colors of their vehicles or fixing stickers that give different color for the vehicle. Drivers should decorate their vehicles on the sides", added Al Harthi.

Al Harthi has announced that, traffic patrols will be intensified on internal and external roads in Abu Dhabi City, in order to ease the traffic flow to celebration places.

Al Harthi has called on all drivers, parents and children to abide by traffic rules and regulations for the safety of all. He has warned against speeding, jumping the red light and reckless driving.
