Abu Dhabi Police showcases the Falcon Bike at
Abu Dhabi International Airport
Abu Dhabi Police is now exhibiting its distinguished motorbike “Falcon” at Abu Dhabi International Airport. The motor bike is specially designed for better interaction and communication particularly the youth.
Public can have its full view from entry point leading to the Duty Free. Thousands of passengers have already seen the falcon bike in its attractive red color. The bike also has the Falcon Emblem which denotes ADP powerful Crest. It indicates communication of permanent friendship with ADP and its customers to the motor bike fans.
Lt. Colonel Mubarak bin Meheiroom, Acting Director of Community Policing Department at ADP in his comment said that ADP pays great attention to communication with different community segments, as part of its comprehensive strategy which places human beings on top of its priorities. ADP spares no effort to enable people to live in peace and harmony he added.
Project Supervisor Lt. Majid Abdul Kareem Al Marzouqi, Head of Media Studies and Security Coordination Section, at the Secretariat General of HH the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior’s Office, the “Falcon Bike” have been a major platform for communication and inspiration to the bike lovers.
ADP has introduced the “Falcon Bike” to make all feel that there is special friendship between ADP and community members. It also shows that ADP is not a traditional police force which is only concerned with issuing traffic violation tickets, but its main objective is to establish the concept of “Police service to all” friendship with all is the aim of this project ,said Marsouqi
The name “falcon” is derived from the police emblem because it denotes power and originality. The emblem is placed on the front and back wheels. The falcon claws are depicted on the front wheel and the steering wheel is designed like Al Maqtaa Bridges historical Fort, which was the first Police Station.
Discovery Channel has shown a documentary about the “Falcon Bike” in the American Chopper Programme. The documentary showed the stages of its manufacturing and ADP officers visit to the factory to follow up the stages of its making.
ADP has a plan to showcase the motor bike in exhibitions in UAE and abroad. It will also be shown at shopping malls in addition to its participation in traffic and security awareness campaigns.
Al Marzouqi has stated that the Falcon Bike (Chopper) has been specially designed in accordance with ADP specifications. It has been made manually by “Orange County Choppers” Company in New York. The company is well known for making single version of such products. They have used steel and chrome in its manufacture. Its engine (S&S) power is 2400 cc, and its maximum speed is 240 klm/hr. It is equipped with equipments that the policemen use in their work, such as handcuffs, anti-riot baton, radio, lamp, helmet and first aids kit and so on.
