Abu Dhabi Police sponsors the variety sport radio show titled “Fit Tis’een”, broadcast weekly via Emarat FM Radio Station on Monday at 9:30.
The program discusses major sport local issues and allows a space for the news of various events. It also offers contests to enhance the culture of listeners and provide them with different general information.
Sponsoring the program by Abu Dhabi coincides with its message to stay communicated with all segments of the society, thus informing them of its services, and promoting road safety awareness and public safety in general, said Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Acting Director General of Police Operations.
It is because of the huge leap made by the Abu Dhabi Radio Network (ADRN) that Abu Dhabi Police was encouraged to sponsor this ‘exceptionally’ popular sport show, he added.
He stressed Abu Dhabi Police keenness to becoming a major partner in providing excellent service to the public.
For his part, Abdurrahman Al Harithi, Director of ADRN, praised the role of Abu Dhabi Police and its continuous support for the radio shows which target various community segments. He considered Abu Dhabi Police a strategic partner for the network.
Sponsoring and supporting the program by Abu Dhabi Police embodies its interaction with the public especially among motorists, he added, indicating that Abu Dhabi Police have already sponsored a radio show titled “Darbak Khadar” and another one called “police news”.
The program “ Fit Tis’een” contains useful information, keeps up-to-date with events, and address audience especially those who remain behind the wheel for longer periods of time, pointed out First Lt. Hamdan Al Dir’e, Head of Security Media Section at the Tactical Affairs and Security Media Department, Abu Dhabi Police.
He added: the program discusses the most important sport issues in the country which attracts the public opinion. It hosts sport officials whether inside the studio or through the phone, thus allowing interaction between the callers and the officials.
By sponsoring and supporting the widely listened to- radio programs, Abu Dhabi Police aims to inform the public of its services and tasks and interacts with them, he further stressed.
