Abu Dhabi Police discuss New Purchasing System

  

Major General Khaleel Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Service at ADP opened yesterday a workshop to discuss the new purchasing system. Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations and a number of officers and Purchasing and Stores Department staff attended.

According to Badran, the current Logistics System No (7) for 1973 neither copes with the comprehensive strategy nor with the aim of raising the efficiency of administrative and financial systems.

It also can not be changed to a modern electronic purchasing system, especially after expansions witnessed by police organization. The subcommittee formed to study a number of options has recommended the purchasing system activated by the law No (6) for 2008, after some changes and amendments to suit police work and organizational structure.

Colonel Said Saif Al Nuaimi, Director of Purchasing and Stores has stated that the new purchasing system not only serve as a system for purchasing, tenders and stores, but includes a new concept of delegating authorities.
