The Arab Administrative Development Organization, affiliated with the Arab League and the Tatweej Academy for Excellence and Quality, granted the Abu Dhabi Police two honorable gold medals in the areas of “Excellence and Quality” and “Wise Leadership” making it the first institution to earn this title in the Arab world in these two fields.
Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of H.H. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and Chairman of the Overall Quality Committee, received the gold medal in the area of Excellence and Quality along with a certificate of good standing. Major General Mohammad bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Director General of Human Resources, and Head of the Quality and Excellence Team, was awarded the gold medal in the field of Wise Leadership with a certificate of good standing.
The awards were distributed during the second edition of Tatweej Academy Awards Ceremony, organized at the Armani Hotel’s ballroom in the Burj Khalifa under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council for Dubai Government. Hamid Mohammad Al-Qatami, the UAE Minister of Education handed over the awards on behalf of Sheikh Hamdan.
Commenting on the award, Major General Al Nuaimi affirmed that the achievement by the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ is a true reflection of the level of development of Abu Dhabi police. He also stated that the achievement is a translation of the directions of the higher leadership and its continuous endeavor to develop the overall government performance. Moreover, he reiterated that these medals are a clear demonstration of the excellence and ability of the police, and the effectiveness, strength, and efficiency of its members.
He also emphasized the vision of the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters to ensure the continuation of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi as a community blessed with security and safety, through the provision of high quality police services to the citizens, residents, and visitors of the Emirate.
Major General Mohammad bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Director General of Human Resources, Acting Director General of Policing Operations at Abu Dhabi Police, and head of quality and excellence team considered this achievement to be the embodiment of the enlightened thought of H.H. the Minister of Interior to make police work a fertile environment for creativity and excellence, taking it from the crucible of tradition towards the broader horizons.
He added that the next challenge is to maintain the success achieved and focus on maximizing them locally, regionally, and globally; he pointed out that the strategy of Abu Dhabi police and its current vision emphasizes the importance of redoubling efforts in order to realize the aspiration of the country to remain one of the world's most secure and peaceful nations.
The Tatweej Academy, in collaboration with the Arab Administrative Development Organization affiliated to the Arab League, aims to highlight important leaders of various fields, civil society institutions, and companies that have reached a level of excellence and quality through their achievements and initiatives. Moreover, it honors leaders from various sectors who have made noteworthy accomplishments in their field of work.
