The Abu Dhabi Police, represented by the Community Police Branch at Al Mussafah Police Station, took part in the celebration marking the International Labor Day at the ICAD Residential City, Abu Dhabi.
The program included many sports and educational events that aim to enhance awareness of labor role and its partnership with the employers and government institutions.
The celebration was attended by First Lieutenant Ali Salem Al Sayaari, Director of Community Police Branch at Al Mussafah Police Station, Juma Saeed Al Kaabi, Executive Director of Collective Housing at ICAD Company, Qasim Mohammed Jamil, Director of Orientation Department at the Ministry of Labor, a number of officials and companies representatives in addition to a large number of workers residing at ICAD city.
The ceremony started with the National Anthem played by the police music band then, ICAD’s Executive Director of Collective Housing, Juma Saeed Al Kaabi, gave a speech in which he stressed that ICAD city has always sought to provide comfort for workers by implementing the best technical and administrative standards, and comfortable housing for these workers under the supervision of the Higher Corporation for Specialized Economic Zones.
Al Kaabi gave his thanks to the Ministry of Interior represented by Al Mussafah Police Station, to the Ministry of Labor, Abu Dhabi Municipality, Etisalat Company and all government and private institutions for their efforts, cooperation and participation in all the events organized by the city. He also thanked members of the administration and technical department for their dedication and loyalty at work, and urged them to double their efforts to achieve better results.
Director of Community Police Branch at Al Mussafah Police Station, First Lieutenant Ali Salim Al Sayaari said: “Participation in these events comes in line with the Community Police’s community-based initiatives, to contribute in communicating with the different components of society. This communication is done through lectures, seminars and different participations to contribute in enhancing security in the country.”
He praised the role of workers and their efforts in the development process witnessed by the country in all fields, and also thanked all workers who contribute in the continuous process of development.
Director of Orientation Department at the Ministry of Labor, Qasim Mohammed Jamil, congratulated the workers, wishing them a happy year and expressed his hope for the continuation of this annual celebration. He also praised ICAD city’s efforts to organize this event on yearly basis.
Saeed Al Fezari, of the Community Service Department at Abu Dhabi Municipality, said: “Abu Dhabi Municipality gives a great attention to the category of workers through awareness and communication programs, and working to achieve the main goals of this partnership, based on security and safety.”
The event included a number of educational, sports and awareness activities and competitions. Police Music Band participated with a number of musical pieces which impressed the audience. Workers were then honored and awards were distributed; which filled their hearts with joy and happiness.
