Abu Dhabi Police represented by Traffic and Patrols Directorate recognized 21 distinguished employees in Protocol, Investigation, and Traffic Control Divisions of the Capital Police Directorate, in appreciation of their efforts and work.

During the recognition ceremony, Colonel Hamad Mubarak bin Atheith Al Amri, Director of Capital Traffic Department in Traffic and Patrols Department of Abu Dhabi Police, reaffirmed the attention extended by Abu Dhabi Traffic Department through encouraging employees to seek excellence at their work by simplifying transactions and performing them quickly, in addition to paying more attention to developing their capabilities in order to elevate their performance as per the best standards of quality and excellence.

Colonel Al Amri commended the efforts made by the recognized employees during last year, reaffirming that the police leadership is keen to spread the culture of quality and excellence in all fields where the traffic staff work. He noted that this aims to eliminate all causes leading to traffic accidents, and their impacts in terms of deaths and severe injuries, in order to ensure traffic safety on all roads.

Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi Police represented by its different entities, intensified its efforts in the realm of organizing traffic awareness programmes and activities for students. Public Relations Division in Al Ain Police Directorate, on its part, participated in the two days Second Traffic Exhibition held under the theme: “We Care for Your Safety.. So Help Us” recently organized at the Seh bin Ammar Campus in Al Ain, by the Residence Life & Student Housing Department of the UAE University (UAEU), in cooperation with Al Ain Police Directorate.

The Religious Preacher at the Directorate, Hamad Ibrahim Al Mamari, gave an awareness religious lecture to UAEU student on the dangers of traffic accidents and their negative impacts on the society and its members. He called upon the students to represent the Islamic morals in their behavior while driving, and mind the rights of other users of the road.

In line with its efforts to spread traffic culture among all categories of the society, Al Ain Traffic and Patrols Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police  represented by the Public Relations Branch, has set up a traffic awareness booth at the Police Friends Exhibition organized by the Al Mabadei Basic and Secondary Education School in Al Ain.

Major Mohsen Saeed Al Mansouri, Chief of Al Ain Traffic and Patrols Directorate, noted that the participation in the booth aims to promoting connectivity with all members of the society at all community events and occasions, in order to promote the level of safety and spread the police and traffic culture.

He added that the participation included lectures that introduced the police efforts in regards to dealing with situations in the event of accidents through implementing an exercise of a bicycle accident, in which Air Wing, Ambulances, Rescue Teams, and Civil Defense participated.

As per the suggested scenario of the accident, a number of students rode their bicycles at the road side, after which one of them entered the main road carelessly, and was hit by a moving vehicle.

He explained that this exercise aims to introduce students to the risks while being on roads, and how to avoid them. The event also included distributing brochures on traffic safety, and a presentation by Traffic Education Patrol.

The division also participated in the Employment of individuals with special need Exhibition organized at Al Ain, where brochures were distributed on visitors, and questions asked by the audience were answered.
