ADP wins tug of war and Ajman wins football competitions
The 3rd Police and Community Championship concluded its activities yesterday, Monday, under the patronage of HH Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid A Nuaimi, Crown prince of Ajman. The Championship was organized by the MoI Police Sports Association in collaboration with the Directorate General of Ajman Police.
Several sports teams competed in the Championship games, beach football, beach volleyball and running race. The Championship continued for nine days.
The final ceremony was attended by Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Director of Ajman Department of Culture and Media, Brigadier Ali Abdullah Alwan, Director General of Ajman Police, Hussain Mohammad Hussain, General Secretary of the Police Sports Association and a number of senior MoI officers.
Sheikh Abdul Azizi bin Humaid al Nuaimi, honored the winning teams, ADP GHQ won the first place in the tug of war competition. Ajman Police team won the beach football competition and Dubai Police team won the beach volleyball competition. Al Nuaimi also honored championship referees, media men and administrators who contributed to the success of the event.
Brigadier Ali Abdullah Alwan, Director General of Ajman Police expressed his thanks and gratitude to HH Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman for his kind patronage of the Championship and HH's directives to provide all requiems of the event. He lauded the attention paid by MoI High Leadership to activities and events organized by the Sports Association which boost communication with the public, promoting sport standards and develop talents in a friendly atmosphere.
Brigadier Hussain Mohammad Hussain said "The organization of the Championship by the Police Sports Association came in response to the directives of HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, which call for MoI communication with the public through several useful programmes and activities".
"The Championship in its third round achieved many successes and audience interaction. He lauded the efforts of the organizing committee and its sub-committees", added Hussain.
The public participated effectively in the Championship the thing that led to achievement of its goals. Such sports gatherings reflect the importance of sports in our life. He thanked the Directorate general of Ajman Police, High Committee of the Championship and all sub-committees contributed to the success of the event.
