ADP reviews methods of documents examination

 

ADP GHQ Department of Forensic Evidence has organized an introductory course on the methods of documents examination. The course was attended by Shanjan Countries Consuls and Diplomats to the UAE, in collaboration with the Spanish Embassy in its capacity as the Chairman of European Union for the current round.

Colonel Abdul Rahman Al Hamadi, Director of Forensic Evidence Department received the participating consuls. He explained to them the nature of the Department work and the efforts they made to keep pace with the latest global development in forensic evidence area.

ADP always seeks to communicate with its customers and provide them with what can facilitate their work within preventive procedures. The cours3e is within this approach to apprehend forgery criminals who use advanced equipment and devices.

ADP spares no effort to meet customers' needs especially diplomatic missions in UAE. He has confirmed the importance of communication with public agencies and in particular police organization. Such communications is useful for organizations which handle documents in general and passports in particular, and acquaint themselves with scientific methods to detect forgery techniques.

Lt. Colonel, Expert (Dr.) Ahmed Al Hadad, Head of Documents Examination Section at the Department has delivered a lecture during the course. He has discussed the natures of the Section work and type of cases which the Section receives from police stations, prosecutions, courts and some government agencies. The cases include forgery of official documents, contracts, passports, entry visas and stamps. He has drawn attention to issues that should be taken into consideration before issue of visas and the use of simple devices which can be used by embassies for quick examination.

1st Lt. Expert Tariq Al Mamari has explained the work mechanism of equipment they use for examination of passports, visas, security features of passports and how to differentiate between correct and forged visas.

Colonel Al Hamadi accompanied the participants in a tour around the Document Examination Section, where they were briefed on examination methods and reviewed the equipment and devices in use for this purpose. Participants also paid a visit to Chemical analysis Section and Biology Section to learn about their work specially DNA.
