ADP national personnel given higher studies opportunities
The total number of ADP employees who have been sent abroad for their studies to 1213 students. Of these 43 to get doctorate degree, 249 master degree, 793 bachelor degree, 34 high diploma, 43 diploma and 51 to learn English Languish at different levels.
According to Lt. Colonel Rassass Salim Rassass Al Amri, Head of Qualification and Scholarships Section at ADP, the students receive their studies in different international universities in more than 100 specializations, including: Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Engineering, Law, International Law and Immigration, Forensic Sciences, Information Technology, Internet, Languages, Translation, Political Sciences, Public Communication, Social Work, Aviation Engineering, Genetics, Crime Prevention, Protection of Heritage, Economy, communication Systems etc.
He urges national who works for ADP, who meet scholarships requirements to avail the opportunities provided by Scholarships Section, so as to enrich police work with more qualified citizens in all policing domains, as part of ADP development strategy.
Communication with Students abroad
All ADP students abroad are communicated with and contacted through the Cultural Attaches in UAE Embassies and Consulates, and ADP Academic Advisors abroad. They follow up students' academic progress and look after their other issues. He urges students to approach Cultural Attaché Offices abroad especially when they have their residences or telephone numbers changed. They can also communicate with the Section through its new website (http://ers.adpolice.gov.ae//ess) to learn about any circulars or developments that may be of concern to them.
Any one who wants to be sent abroad for postgraduate studies he should have completed at least three years of service, possesses (IELTS) certificate (5.5 Rate). USA and other countries which the English language is the first language graduates will be exempted from this condition.
For bachelor degree studies the Department of the applicant should confirm their need for that specialization. The percentage of his secondary school certificate should not be less than (70%). His annual report rating should not be less Very Good. In case of English language studies, the Department should confirm its need for this specialization, and his IELTS rate should not be less than (4.0).
Privileges
The Section communicates with parents if the students do not respond or when they get academic or behavioral warnings, in an attempt to solve their problems. ADP provides medical insurance, accommodation, schools (for students' children), study allowances, generous salaries, tickets for them and their family members and job allowances.
Scholarship conditions
Any national student who get 90% and above in General Secondary School Certificate he is entitled to be sent abroad to continue his studies in accordance with ADP GHQ Committees terms and conditions.
