ADP honors policewomen on International Women's Day

 

Major General Mohammad Al Awadhi Al Minhali, Director General of Human and Acting Director General of Policing Operations at ADP has honored at the Directorate Conference Room 4 elements of policewomen, on the occasion of the International Women's day.

He confirms this honoring supports Police High Leadership aspirations to support women as an effective element in the community. Women receive comprehensive care in all life domains within UAE community.

The honored elements include Lt. Colonel Layla Ghareeb Al Shamsi, Director of Policewomen Branch, 1st Lt. Shamma Ahmed Al Miheiri, Head of Policewomen Training and Qualification Section, 1st Warrant Officer Sameera Tawfeeq Al Dhahri, from drivers examining committees at the Vehicles Licensing Department and Warrant officer Selma Al Kaabi, police Dog Trainer and first female element in UAE Rescue Team.

Al Shamsi takes pride in her work for ADP. She joined work in 1987 until she became Lt. Colonel and Director of Policewomen Branch at Al Ain Police Directorate. Now she is continuing her university studied at Emirates University. According to her, police work save women dignity and humanity.

1st Lt. Shamma joined force in 1990. She learned discipline during the first ten-month course she attended. She learned shooting skills until she won first places in shooting competitions. She achieved the first Arab record result in Spain Shooting Championship.

1st Warrant Officer Sameera "Oldest NCO" says work for police enhances self-confidence and enlarges thinking horizons. She joined force 27 years ago. She is happy with this honoring.

Warrant Officer Selma Al Kaabi says she finds no words to express her feelings towards being selected="true" for honoring. This is not strange for our High Leadership which pays great attention to women elements. She joined force in 2001. Her family supported her decision to work for the police force.

At the nd of the ceremony Major General Al Minhali congratulated the honored women and wished them more excellence in their work after giving away certificates and commemorative prizes to them.
