ADP honors 109 media men and cooperators
Under the patronage of HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Major General (S) Khalifa Harib Al Kheili, MoI Acting Undersecretary, honored 190 media men of different local and international Medias and Representatives who cooperate with ADP. The honoring celebration was organized by the Department of Security Media at the Secretariat General of the Office of HH the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, on Sunday. The event was held at the Conference Room of the Forensic evidence Department, in appreciation of their distinguished media activity and spread of security culture of ADP.
Al Kheili said "This honoring is in response to the Directives of HH the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior to honor the efforts of media men and those who cooperate with ADP in giving widespread to ADP news and activities in all types of medias. We hope more achievements from them for the security and stability of our country".
Mr. Mohammad Yusuf, Chairman of Journalist Association said "With the presence of the Department of security Media at the Secretariat General of the Office of HH the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the relationship developed into friendship and has become a key to media information round the clock. It also has assisted in building bridges for easy approach to police leaderships. The partnership between police organization and Medias has become very strong".
"When I have seen this presence it has become clear that the partnership between "Police" and "Media" is there. This is due to the vision and directives of HH the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior in establishing the principle of transparency. The relationship in the past was discordant and hiding of information", added Yusuf.
In his speech to the audience Lt. Hamdan al Darie, Director of radio Branch at the Secretariat general said "The Department of Security Media through this honoring seeks to confirm the importance of partnership in the success of every work, especially when the work targets the public with all its segments. Here lies the maximum aim which we all drive at, with most successful and effective ways. Communication of the message of awareness and security culture with all its aspects contributes to enhancement of community security and stability".
The honoring ceremony was attended by a large number of local and international media personalities, including national Council of Media, Emirates News Agency, local and international TV and Radio Channels such as Al Jazeera Satellite Channel The Media personalities include, Ibrahim al Ahmed, Director of Abu Dhabi 1st Channel, Issa Al Mail, Director of Abu Dhabi Channel, Emirates, Abdul Raheem Al Bateeh, Director of News center at Abu Dhabi TV, Editors in Chief of a number of newspapers, columnists, Heads of Sections and Branches, editors and Photographers of a number of media agencies and magazines in the country, representatives of public and private organizations and those who cooperate with ADP.
The ceremony was also attended by Brigadier Faris Khalifa Al Farsi, Director General Security Guard and Special Tasks at ADP, Lt. Colonel (Dr.) Fawaz Khaleel Badran, Abdullah Shaheen and Joyce Bou Sader from "the Secretariat General" and a number of officers, NCOs, other ranks, civilians and media men.
